Get to work, Noble.

During a co-op run on Winter Contingency last night I noticed Carter was having a bit of an off day.

Tex Beats Everything!

My glorious, fist-pumping moment of last night. I also outshot/killed someone in that ULTRA MLG cage-match map. This was cooler though.

I know in the circles I run in, armor lock is hated. Maybe not hated but really, really disliked. I like it and am trying to figure out how to utilize it where it is most effective. So far I've got vehicular destruction and defense for CTF (did well for a 1 Flag match).

FLAG TSD GN

Competed in the FLAG Tournament. Place in my first match but didn't place high enough in the second or third. Double elimination. 1-4th advance. I was in 5th on both occasions. Regardless, it was for a good cause and I can't wait until next year.

The first TSD GN was a success. I have an Infection game I like now. Makes me think of Alien.

I was also able to recognize that my armor colors (yellow and black) are damn fine.

Far left. I look like Femm-Bumblebee.

Swag

Sabs works at GameStop so when stuff gets 'pennied out' he usually calls me up and asks if I want it. Meaning in retail-talk that they mark it down to a penny to let inventory know to toss it out.

So I got the Reach Countdown clock display and a wallet/dogtag set from Halo 3 (link says its from Reach, yeah right). The tags are kinda cheap with the UNSC logo on one and Master Chief's vitals on the other. Not as cool as my Halo: CE dogtags from the launch in Japan for the Halo Championship. Yeah, I'm the chump that bought them.

I need to find a way to make the countdown clock work as a standard digital clock. Or just keep resetting it so it'll continuously count down.

Did I mention I got a sweet Marathon hoodie? It's pretty sweet. I need more sweaters.

Killing Spree - With Audio!

As promised, my version of Poker Face, titled "Killing Spree". It takes place in the Halo Universe, at the crossroads of Garageband and Auto-tune. I am by no means a singer, so enjoy the auto-tune tone deaf.

I'd like to thank Gaga, T-Pain, HP, cody and Hunt3r. And b.net for the dmrshot.wav. And this place for audio. Everything that isn't my voice is copyrighted to their respected owners.

Enjoy.

Lyrics.

Plain mp3.

Killing Spree

How do I combine the two things I go lalalala over? By making up Halo related lyrics to Lady Gaga's Poker Face.

Credits go to Hawaiian_Pig, Cody Miller and Hunt3r for their contributions in the thread. Expect a cover of this soon. Just gotta get that dmrshot.wav.

Thus I Progress

Well, sorta.

All that was glue-able after 12 sheets of slicing and dicing.
I've decided that my method of cutting pieces then looking around my disastrous pile of also-cut-pieces in hopes to find a mate to glue to it just doesn't cut it. I end up wasting a ton of time just looking for a piece that probably hasn't been cut yet. I also end up with a huge scrap pile.

Like the 'missing sock' basket in my laundry room.
So I think I'm just gonna start gluing/cutting in numerical order. I know I've got 1-6 done, so lol I get to start on seven.

In other Halo news I got a new hat/beanie/toque and ordered that snazzy Marathon hoodie. Gotta represent!

I buy quite a bit of Halo paraphernalia. And even more is bought for me (read: gifts. I'm not a moocher). It's kinda dumb but it makes me happy, expect these posts a bit.

Rock Anthem For Drivers Ed

aka: Why I'm Not Allowed To Drive In Matchmaking.

Got some free time on my hands. So I busted out my dusty Action Clix and the awesome remote control Warthog my sister got me for my birthday. Can't wait to test out the Falcon.

Comics n Stuff

I picked up the comic 'Bootcamp' from the Halo: Fall of Reach series Marvel is running. A great treasure for me since it combines the two things I get the greatest fun out of, Halo and comics.

The art is excellent. Felix Ruiz's work really blends well with the story and precognition that I had for FoR when I read it for the first time. Gritty and filled with lines. I love that some strokes bleed over the panel borders. The boxing for text is also wonderful. Non-obtrusive to the images themselves. I remember staying up late and doodling my own version of what I thought a FoR comic would look like. Though I remember putting Halsey in white, pink was not an option for me. Good times.

As far as the transition goes, I constantly feel like I'm reading parts of the novel. Some panels are done word-for-word which makes me happy. That's probably the benefit of getting to go from novel to graphic novel. The hard part must be deciding what stays and what goes.

Can't wait till October for the next issue, when training begins.

Chilling November cover art, property of Marvel.

Stuff

Started physically working on my helmet today. Mark V by Halo 3 standards. I spent about an hour carefully cutting out three sheets of pieces, only to have four of them glue together. With school starting tomorrow, I'll have to be careful not to burn myself out.

I'll be honest, I don't even know what part this is. Maybe top of the helmet.

Thinking of getting an SD card slot to put in the back. Cause that is hilarious. Also some video posts. I like those. I'll have to work on keeping things short and sweet though.

This Is More For Me

Than it is for you.

A Monument To All Your Sins

It's been nearly nine years since Halo: Combat Evolved came onto the scene. Since then I've spent numerous hours on the clock:

7,303 games.
60,0484 kills.
Some deaths.

I've e-wined and e-dined with some of the Halo's finest over a good FAE, spent numerous parties shooting away at my friends and even had the pleasure of meeting some new ones thanks to this game. Halo and the community involved have been a large part of my life both on and off the box. I've grown up with this game and have whole-heartedly enjoyed being a part of the experience.

So I think it's about time I tackle this once and for all.

Aren't you a little short for a SPARTAN?
